Brain Port
| The "Brain Port" routes signals from cameras, sonar, etc. through the tongue to your brain. Okay, let me reiterate that for those of you whoe think this post is lame: scientists have found a way to allow humans to use their tongues to see! Reasearchers at the Florida Institute for Human and Machine Cognition figure that this can allow divers and blind people to use sonar, marines to have 360 degree vision, and anyone to see in the dark. The technology is so good that it allows blind people to catch balls and notice people walking by them. The device uses 144 microelectrodes to transmit information through the nerve fibers to the brain.
