The Inner Life of a Cell
| Information Aesthetics recently made a post on an animation created for the Harvard Molecular and Cellular Biology program to help illustrate the mechanisms that allow a white blood cell to sense it's surroundings and respond. To see a higher resolution video (much better) click here. The video is outstanding. I don't really have any idea what most of the parts are or if they really function in the fashion depicted in the video--especially the walking thing that's pulling the big blue glob. Maybe some med school students could enlighten me.
