BMW "We say no" campaign
| BMW's new ad campaing, "We say no" communicates a powerful message of determination to avoid group-think, complacency, and compromise. Anyone that's read Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged" or "The Fountainhead", will be familiar with the idea of how compromise can lead to an incomplete, 2nd rate, or myopic product. Coming from a design enivironment where I've been told that a design "looks too good, can we make it uglier?", I can identify with the BMW campaign. For a company to come forward with this theory in their advertising is inspiring. The site will even let you upload your own "No" statement of things that you won't compromise for. I could write for days on this, but those of you that know where I'm coming from don't need an explanation. Just look at the site.
