1.618 Vinci Cut Diamond

Shlomo (no lie that's his real name) Cohen, and Israeli designer has created and patented a new cut of diamond based off of the Golden Ratio (~1.618 :1) that he's calling "The Vinci Diamond". Shlomo, who is already credited with coming up with the immensely popular "Princess Cut" in 1982, has been studying the Golden Ratio since 2001. Though in a few interviews he's made plain that he knew about the ratio long before the release of Dan Brown's book and that the name is reflective of Leonardo's study of the ratio in the Vitruvian Man, he's still riding the wave of enthusiasm by choosing the "Vinci" namesake.
