Aurland Lookout/Saunders Architecture

Saunder's Architechture, run by Canadian Todd Saunders, won first prize for this lookout in Aurland, Norway. A unique piece that juts out over the dramatic landscape and falls off in a distubing, but inviting manner. The firm, operates out of Norway, and develops forms and space that "suggest a critique of urban planning, provides solutions to contemporary housing solutions, or create sympathetic yet robust new forms for residential housing that are additions to the dramatic landscape in which they sit". Whatever...it's beautiful work, and the firm seems to love to use gymnasium flooring(hardwood flooring) for almost everything. Saunder's Architecture
